myscore.live, Field-Tested and Built to Last
Last autumn, we flew to Valencia to meet our hardware team and put the first commercial prototype through its paces at Sporting Club Valencia to put it through its paces at Sporting Club de Tenis Valencia — one of Spain's most active tennis and padel clubs. The visit gave us something no lab test ever could: real feedback from players, coaches, and club staff who interact with scoreboards every single day. The reception was overwhelmingly positive. But positive doesn't mean perfect, and the conversations we had that week shaped everything that came after.
The message from the people we spoke to was consistent: the concept works, the experience on court is seamless, and the live scoring page is exactly what clubs and organisers have been missing. What they asked for — reasonably, and forcefully — was a scoreboard that could live outside without complaint. Courts get rained on. Balls hit the board. Dust settles in every corner. A scoreboard that needs babysitting is a scoreboard that doesn't get used. We went back to work.
The new version we're releasing this January is rated IP67 — fully dust-proof and capable of surviving submersion in water. In practical terms, that means it handles downpours, pressure washing, and the kind of accumulated grime that outdoor sports equipment has to tolerate year after year. The enclosure has been redesigned with more robust materials that resist UV degradation, impact, and the slow wear that comes from years of being touched, bumped, and left out in the sun. If you manage courts, this is the board you can install and forget about.
We also took the opportunity to simplify the electronics inside. Fewer components means fewer potential failure points, easier servicing, and a more consistent experience across every unit. The hardware is quieter and more efficient — relevant when you consider that myscore.live runs on solar power, with no mains connection required. The board is as self-contained as ever, and now considerably more durable for it.
For club owners and tournament organizers, this update matters beyond the technical specs. A connected scoreboard only delivers value if it's reliably operational — visible to players, accessible to organizers tracking multiple courts, and useful to the friends and family following along online. IP67 protection and hardened materials mean that myscore.live can be a permanent fixture on your courts, not a seasonal one. We're now moving into production with this version, and we're ready to talk to clubs who want to be among the first to deploy it.
