When the tournament has to keep going

19 courts. More than 800 matches. Five days of nonstop tennis.

This summer, myscore.live supported Young Generation at Blau-Weiß Berlin, one of the largest junior tournaments of the Berlin summer season, bringing together players from across Germany.

As always, our role was to complement the established tournament infrastructure. myscore.live works alongside systems such as nuTurnier, adding live scoring directly from the courts and giving players, parents and organizers real-time visibility into what is happening.

During the tournament, the federation IT infrastructure unfortunately experienced an outage lasting almost two days. Technology challenges can happen to any platform — particularly during large events.

What was great to see was how complementary systems can strengthen each other.

Because myscore.live was already following the tournament flow, live scoring continued throughout the event and provided organizers, players and parents with an additional source of real-time information while the main infrastructure recovered.

And people used it.

Across the five days, we recorded almost 2,000 unique visitors and around 40,000 sessions, averaging approximately five minutes per session — our strongest engagement at a single tournament so far.

For us, Young Generation reinforced an important part of our vision: myscore.live is not about replacing established tournament platforms. It is about connecting the court to them.

By adding live, court-level information to the existing ecosystem, we can help make tournaments more transparent, engaging and resilient.
